I'd like to stream content from my server to my devices when I'm not on my LAN.
Maybe the atv4 could act as an intermediary server with a specified "mrmc-port" you could open on your router?
So for example after a timeout of not being able to connect to the library you'd get a popup asking if you'd like to look for a remote library and you could input IP or URL to your server (previously entered would also be saved) and it'd connect you to the atv4 and when selecting play on an item, it would replace the path with the current WAN IP.
I can playback the files using the qnap app, which also support opening in other media players, but I'd like to use my library since it's way superior.
I know this is probably a lot of work, but it'd be an awesome feature.
