Library Import
I am trying to Import a library which I am using on a fire tv. I would like to Import to a fire tv stick I am using in another room. I am viewing files on a NAS on my network on both systems. I exported the library to a folder then tried to Import it. It took a while but all I get is a small picture, that's part of the video I am viewing. On my other system, I have a full cover picture and description plus info on the codecs etc. Anyone any ideas?

Re: Library Import
Make yourself familiar with a database. I have my files on a NAS as well and different devices share the same MySQL database. It is possible begin watching an episode on one device and continue on another device without hassle.
The problem with your current library is that we do not know in what format the data is stored, how it is scraped and moreover: Duplicating the (a) database will make the data inconsistent on the different devices.

Re: Library Import
Hi, thanks for the reply. I exported to a folder which is accessible to both players. In the folder I have one XML (not visible in mrmc) file and 4 folders movie, players and two others were empty. If I look in the movie folder using x-plore, I see lots of jpg pics. How do I get mrmc to use these? Also, where does the jnfo come from and why is it missing on this mrmc on my firestick?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Re: Library Import
I am sorry, Dave. No idea how to handle it.
First of all, there must be compatibility of the FireStick database with MrMC. If there is, that library database file can be imported to MrMC. As far as I remember, there is an import function in MrMC setting. However second, the redundancy of 2 separate databases will persist. And in the end I ask myself why it should be worth it to import the library and not scraping all files with MrMC again. It might take some time, however, trying to find a way for the import - which is not guaranteed to exist - is a waste of time. In the end you will always need to export/import libraries whenever you add TV shows and/or movies.
So my advice is, to use Kodi on the FireStick and MrMC on the ATV utilizing a mutual database. It then simply does not matter what device does the scraping and database, watched status etc. are always up to date on all devices. If Kodi/MrMC is not the way to go use other setups. However, you will understand discussing other solutions in the official MrMC forum is not what we should do.
