Hello, have been away a year or so, owing to my AppleTV4k getting the blinking white light of death, as I had accepted beta updates at the time, and one failed, bricking my device.
Just got the latest 2021 AppleTV4k, so thought I would reload the MrMC application and try out.
A year or so ago, I posted with regards to the 'NextPVR' addon, and that enabling timeshifting breaks the addon for use with then v4 of NextPVR. V5 of NextPVR has been out now for the longest time, and I have migrated to it a long time ago.
Is it possible to 'update' the NextPVR addon in MrMC to support NextPVR V5, and indeed support timeshifting?
Also, been a while since I used MrMC, but curently find livetv is working, and it shows all my recordings, but am unable to play 'any' of them at all. (nothing happens when selected)
Wondering if this could be specific to the pvr addon being outdated in regards to the V5 NextPVR server now.
As mentioned, I posted a PVR addon enquiry when I used to be on the testflights some time ago... make that 'a long time ago' (but still in this galaxy) (grin)
I can play all my other media from the same PC server, like movies and videos etc, but recordings via the PVR Addon do not work. Does not seem to be a network permissions thing, the pvr addon just seems to no longer work in respect of recordings via NextPVR V5.
The Kodi Matrix pvr addon for NextPVR works great.

NextPVR addon and timeshift support.

As mentioned, no working timeshift with the current NextPVR pvr addon.
When used with NextPVR v4, the addon has quite dire reaction when timeshifting is enabled from within the addon's advanced options.(it actually makes NextPVR lose all it's tuners, until the server running NextPVR is restarted)
With NextPVR 5, enabling timeshifting within the MrMC addon does nothing at all.
The other issue with being unable to play recorded TV shows from within the Recorded TV section of MrMC, I have solved.
The Fix is to go into NextPVR V5 Web App/settings/access and enable 'unauthenticated access' option.
One enabled, the MrMC NextPVR addon can once again play recorded TV shows from within the TV Section.
