Hi, just had an update pushed to me this morning from the play store, now the app won’t start.
A) can’t find any information about the new update.
B) any ideas how to fix this?
2017 Shield, won’t install it on my Shield 2019 pro till I know, thanks.
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Re: Update 3.9.6 has broken the app.
This update (3.9-6) has also broken my app on Shield 2015; though another Shield 2017 is alright.
Deleting cache is no go, nor is deleting data, re-installing and/or re-starting.
Prepares for First Run - then 'Starting Service', then exits to Home Screen.

As no-one is answering, is there some way I can download 3.9-4 APK for Shield, as that was okay?

Re: Update had broken app.
Might have been a hiccup with Google Play and our OBB (a large extension due to the play store limitation to 100Mb app).
If so, try to uninstall/reinstall completely.

Re: Update had broken app.
I've found out what it was...
The update from 3.9-4 to 3.9-6 had changed the default storage to SD card, and it wouldn't run properly from there. Going to the Shield App page, it is quite simple to change the storage back, and Voila!
Why this would happen is a mystery to me (does not an Update or Fresh Install automatically check where it's being installed?); but it does explain a bit why my 2015 Shield (SD card slot) had a problem, but not my 2017 Shield (USB, but no SD card slot).
