Scraping TV Shows from The Movie Database (includes log info)

Post by steelman1991 »

Hi

I am having severe difficult scraping data from TMDB and getting some very strange matches for TV shows that bear no relation to the content (other than some similar words) eg:

Band Of Brothers, is being returned as Banded Brothers.

I activated logging and the Debuglog is BGPYN,log - hope I have done this correctly.

Could someone have a look and see what is happening.

Thanks

This has been a resounding waste of time - thanks for the support and assistance.

If it's in the wrong section, or further information is required please advise.

Unless it's a typo this thread is about the movie database, not theTVDB. :)

I dont see anything wrong in the log except that chosen series is Korean.

Code: Select all

 14174: 21:11:32.442 T:196766315760 DEBUG: scraper: GetDetails returned <details><title>Band of Brothers</title>
<originaltitle>밴드 오브 브라더스</originaltitle><id>18441</id><year>2008</year>
<premiered>2008-10-25</premiered><studio>Mnet</studio><rating>0.0,</rating><votes>0</votes><chain
this can be corrected manually, bring up TV show information in context menu and do a "refresh". you will be able to choose the correct, year 2001, Band of Brothers assuming thats the one you want.

HI and thanks for taking the time to look at the situation.

I have tried refreshing as you suggested, prior to posting, but I have never been presented with the option to download Band Of Brothers (and this is just one example). There are several other shows which don't scrape at all.

I moved on to TVDB while I was unable to scrape from the Movie DB, but I have just this morning re-scraped using TMDB and I am seeing the same behaviour (incorrect scraping and missing shows).

I presume this will have produced a fresh log and its reference is O3L6U.log.

I have some pictures which I will upload later showing what is presented when I attempt to "refresh" either shows with incorrect match or failed to scrape.

Like I said in my mistaken post, tvdb has some issues and that was fixed.

Check beta thread on how to sign up for it and once @koying gets the new beta release out tvdb should be fixed and hopefully sorts out the issue you have.

Is this a "mistaken" post again, or a typo? The issue isn't TVDB, but "The Movie Database" :?
