I have added my music through a upnp source. Using the stock white skin. I don't know how to add music to the home screen. I see that I can add it as a favorite. But I would like it to be a tile like when you add TV shows or movies.
Is this possible?
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

It’s possible through the library, you have to create music library by adding the the source and letting MrMC scan it in.

I thought that's what I did. I went into media sources and then music, and then add music.amet wrote:It’s possible through the library, you have to create music library by adding the the source and letting MrMC scan it in.
I added a upnp source, it scanned and the music is there. But I have to go back into; media sources, then "music" to listen to it.
I would like to see a folder on the home screen.

UPNP can’t be added as library source, you will have to do what was done for videos, add smb/nfs and scan that in

What's the difference. It's a network location and it scans in just like SMB does. I'll try it out. The reason I even tried upnp is because I couldn't get SMB to connect to my win 10 machine. It works on Kodi but get refusing the connection.amet wrote:UPNP can’t be added as library source, you will have to do what was done for videos, add smb/nfs and scan that in
For my Movies and tv I have logged into Emby.

You can try different smb options in MrMC based on how your win 10 is setup, smb2 might be an option.
I know that music library works well with Plex integration, if that helps in any way... I think emby one is also fine
EDIT: just tested emby music and I see no issues here, have you tried adding a music library to Emby?

My music actually is included in Emby but I hate how it organizes it. I have it broken down into about 8 large folders for things like; flac, sacd, etc. Within mrmc these aren't respected and it's a jumbled mess.amet wrote:You can try different smb options in MrMC based on how your win 10 is setup, smb2 might be an option.

But I figured it out. Pulled out the keyboard because I was going to setup SMB again. And I tried long pressing on music section and there it was. "Add folder to home screen". So it worked with upnp.
I looked far and wide fire a way to remove some of the folders on the home screen from Emby. I use mrmc for specific usage. But Emby has a bunch of libraries I'd like to hide.
Didn't see the option. I could do it on Emby but they would then be hidden in other apps.
