Looking forward to making use of the updated app.

I hope somebody else (in a Mac environment) tests out OSX SMB (via libdsm) in this version of MrMC, as I'm sticking with SMBup for the time being.

It's great to see the Top Shelf functionality in place. Good job.

Wow, good job guys. I wasn't expecting this so quick! I will test out to see if SMBX works for me as I was unable to get it to work last version.

Sanjuro, remind me again what your problem was so I can give it a good kick?

Multiple problems, really. As I recall:

1. When I paused for more than a minute or two (on any video file), I believe the whole app crashed when I went to click play again.

2. Sometimes, even though my entire library showed up (in terms of thumbnails, etc.), my files wouldn't play at all.

3. Updating library (to attempt to rectify problem #2) often just returned "compressing database" (really quickly) and wasn't really updating my library. It often took restarting the app a few times and updating the library a few times to be able to play any video files at that point.

I'm glad you will be testing SMBx-via-libdsm and I'm hoping it works now.

I see profiles has returned so you can create a new profile and test there, leaving your main profile alone.

The new top shelf functionality looks very nice. It fits in very well with the whole AppleTV interface.

Unfortunately, when I select any one of the top shelf items, it opened MrMC up to a show that was added months ago. Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

I just tested this with 3 movies and one TV show episode, and everything I clicked on the Top Shelf opened to the correct items (to the Information screen of each item, that is to say, with "Play" highlighted).

I'm using SMBA and I think the same crash happened to me today. We paused a movie, I went to the other room for a minute, and I thought my parntner did something to MrMC. The whole app was gone and didn't remember where we had paused. I thought my parnter did something but he said he didn't do anything. I'll do some more testing.
