DVBlink PVR addon

Post by Spam01 »

Hi, I've been using two different clients for DVBLink;
1) PC version of Kodi 15.2 isengard with version 1.10.9 of DVBlink client
2) MrMC with DVBlink client version 1.11.4.

Although the second has a higher number its not stable. I can pauze/play TV fine but when I try to fast forward after pauzing or reverse it freezes up. Most of the times I have to stop the stream and re-select it from my TV overview. The PC version works fine and stable. I also noticed I cannot finetune series recording (e.g. select only new recordings at a specific time etc) on MrMC whereas I can on the PC version. The latter makes me think the second is actually older than the first? But how come the second has a higher number? Can you explain/help?

For the binary pvr addons, since they never do a 'release' and everything sits in a separate git repos, we just pulled what looked like 15.2 compatible. This is bit of a pain in the rear to do since the individual authors follow different version bumping conventions.

There are so many different flavors for binary pvr addons, we figured that users would let us know about issues :) Most seem to be fine.

We can revert DVBlink client from version 1.11.4 to version 1.10.9, if that one is considered the 'stable' 15.2 version. Just have to find the right place and pull it in. Looks like 1.10.6 is last one before the bump to 1.11.0. See https://github.com/MrMC/pvr.dvblink master holds upstream, https://github.com/MrMC/pvr.dvblink/tre ... r_api3.0.0 holds what we use.

B]Version 1.11.0[/B]
Updated to PVR API v1.9.7

Version 1.10.6
Updated: language files from Transifex

Version 1.10.5
Added: Extended series settings dialog
Added: "No grouping for single recording" setting
Fixed: Long delay when starting transcoded stream from server that does not support it
Speed and memory use optimizations

Normally in Kodi when switching from channel view to full screen view and back again the TV stream does not stop.

This is not the case in MrMC when going back to channel view from full screen view.

It would be really nice if that could be "fixed".

Aimed at 2.x series where we can get a good sync between core and pvr binary addons.
