Between 0,05 and 0,1 seconds, it is really noticiable
I agree. I see more sync problems with advanced timing off but no choppiness or what seems like frame skip.

With advanced timing on, which is how I run things normally, I still see things become choppy with 25fps material. With 23p material it doesn't completely become choppy but it begins to skip a frame every second or so. Usually I skip back or stop and start and it fixes things.
I do not run advanced timing on due to the choppiness factor. As far as sync, if I uncheck passthrough format is IEC Packed, sync is pretty much spot on for me at least and I have had not further issues.

Yes, you are right, seems to work fine

Im pulling my hair out, i opted out of the beta here after this last update, but with nvidias recent update my head is spinning with various issues. I use 16-235.

However one issue i narrowed down to the beta, vc-1 blu ray mkv files for some reason are displaying an incredibly washed out picture. I wanted to blame the recent nvidia update but plex displays the brightness fine, mrmc used to play these files fine, but for some reason only vc-1 titles are displaying overly bright grey bars instead of the black letterbox bars. Very strange and only occurs with vc-1 titles, its like the brightness levels are totally messed up.

Not sure if this has been reported yet.

Tried to join testing and was prompted to update again, noticed the same vc-1 issue, will uninstall and go back to public tomorrow night, I am pretty sure this did not occur in the public version however.

I can try I am very busy with work at the moment (Just about to head there now). V for vendetta, 300 a few of those off the top of my head are vc-1 blu ray titles.

If you have any vc-1 file it will hopefully show the issue. I know after nvidias latest update people on nvidia forum complained vc-1 files will not play now. In mrmc they do play, but i dont know if those nvidia changes or whatever they did also effected this in mrmc somehow. Although its odd it displays properly in plex. Perhaps something with the hardware acceleration brightness levels? I really have no idea though.

Will try the public version at least tonight and try to report back.

You don't have any VC1 test files already?

When I try to play a VC1 file MrMC goes into the background and I'm back at the shield tv home page. But, MrMC is running in the background because I can still access its web GUI and get the log. https://paste2.org/0Cgt6j2f

Yes, I do have a couple VC1 samples, but they work fine.
No "grey bar" (probably because they're full frame) nor crashes

FWIW, the android pie shield update lists VC1 playback not working. Root cause understood, will be part of future 8.0+ HotFix Image.
Not sure how this affects MrMC though.

Ah, yeah, h/w decoder failed, indeed, and MrMC correctly fell back to ffmpeg for my tests...

Interesting so would going back to public not help me if this is an issue with android pie update?

Sounds like mrmc is still working properly, just not sure why the brightness is all messed up for me, it plays fine however. In plex it also plays fine and does not have washed out brightness.

I do use 16-235 brightness levels.
