Amazon didn't create the AFTV with streaming full BD in mind ;)
So, not quite sure its a network issue anymore. Downloaded VLC, connected to the Plex library over UPnP, and played the exact same movie. Loaded, played, skipped forward and back just fine. Whats the difference here between VLC and MrMC?
About 1 million lines of source code.

lol . You know what i meant. I assume format/codec wise VLC and MrMC are similar? It just doesnt make sense why itd work on the Shield over the Fire Cube if it wasnt just a bandwidth issue. Kodi with PlexKodiConnect has the same issue playing as MrMC.

I noticed while playing this file, all cores are at or near 100%, 1080p files dont exhibit this behavior, A different, lower bitrate 4k file also didnt peg it at 100%. I wish i could say the Fire Cube just isnt able to handle it, but when it works fine in VLC it tells me the Fire Cube can handle it.

Is VLC really playing it at 4K ? With HDR ? 10 bit ? So many questions to ask/answer before you can even start comparing playback under VLC to playback under MrMC.
