testing MrMC 3.1.0

BUG - I just updated my library to add a new episode of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and it added the episode - it shows up in recently added - but the entire show disappeared from the TV Show list right in front of my eyes. Doesn't seem to be skin related.

Any ideas how I can get the missing show back? I've tried quitting and restarting, updating the library again etc.
What's the best way to capture the logs? Obviously I can't recreate this again, all I can send is logs in the current state.

mrmc.log is always the current active log. mrmc.old.log is always the previous log. When MrMC starts up. it will rotate mrmc.log to mrmc.old.log and create a new empty mrmc.log.

Which library ? Internal (sqlite) or External (mysql), or Plex or Emby ?

you sure you didnt hide it in the menu on the left? you can select watched/unwatched and all there

in progress items can be shown on home screen .. Settings -> Video -> Library -> Home Screen Items -> Both if possible this setting might be removed later as its now defaulting to new skin and new skin can do both.

I'm not sure what you're telling us abou the Home screen items and if it does or doesn't work with this skin, but my testing shows that In progress works ( it just isn't useful or ideal for me), Recently added works, and Both if possible doesn't seem to work..WAIT Im wrong. It just started working,! In Progress has become the second line of posters! Nice!

I have just made it default to “both if possible “, still leaves an option for users to switch some lines off.

Reason we added it was that MrMC skin, old default one had only one line available ... so some users might choose to show in progress there instead or recently added

My thoughts on the skin.

1) Whether the current selection color is blue or red (default) or green the contrast is sometimes too high with regard to the selected item. Maybe make opacity slightly less? It tends to make small text, such as in DVR TV guide, difficult to read.

2) There seems to be wasted space at the bottom on the TV guide. The show description only takes up a small portion. Perhaps increase the font size in the guide. There seems to be plenty of space in the grid itself. And perhaps you can use the wasted space by allowing more lines of the grid to show.

3) In the video info along the bottom (rating, dimension, aspect ratio, etc.) I'd like to see the video codec as well.

4) I definitely agree that the area that currently has recently added TV or movies could use an in progress line as well.

5) The currently selected episode/movie poster (in recently added) is slightly larger than the others. But, this might not be enough of an indicator for some people. Could something more be done to indicate the currently selected item?

6) As episodes/movies are selected (in recently added) could we have their media info at the bottom instead of the news scroll?

OK, your TV guide is giving a huge description. The longest descriptions I'm seeing are two lines.

I don't know how to do this, and all I did was update the library before and the show was gone. Then, today all I did was wake up the AppleTV and the show was back.

What makes a video "in progress" because I have that option turned on and don't get anything other than recently added. I have a TV episode that I'm half way through watching - I want that episode to show up.

Also I wonder about a third section for unwatched?

Any episode or movie you partially watched will show up there, same as what you see if you go to in progress from Movies
