PS Pity addons were abused, because they're very valuable in situations like these...
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Hue has its own protocol, so probably won't work unless you conscientiously baked it in

It would not be an issue to add it in, finding Hue in this part of the world might be difficult

Re: Boblight/Ambilight clone anyone?
thanks, sounds like Hue isnt a great option because of the protocol for direct bridge integration, also sounds like it would take an arduino/rpi box to solder in the connections to the controller today. would have been nice to have direct communications using something like a script, unless it can be hard coded into the code to work, it likely will never work as expected.

Re: Boblight/Ambilight clone anyone?
I have a raspberry pi 3 and i now have the wife-nod to try out a boblight setup.
What would I need to install on the pi?
Boblight on kodi or is there a build for pi with just a boblight server on?
Many thanks.
New to this. Lol
Regards
Dean
