I was wondering. If MrMC gets added to multiple Android stores, will all stores have the same APK or will we need to purchase different apks. For example, if MrMC came to the Shield, could I sideload it from Amazon? I ask because I have some coins to use and was thinking about sending it MrMC's way.
PS. I posted this on the Kodi forum right before mods started whining about MrMC talk.
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again
Any mention of illegal streaming sites, addons or any pirated material will not be tolerated. This is not democracy and any offenders will be banned and posts deleted immediately without warning.
Other than that, we hope you enjoy MrMC so far and we welcome any input and feedback you might have.

MrMC the same across app stores?

Re: MrMC the same across app stores?
Each store is handled completely different with zero compatibility and slightly different features. For example, tvOS/iOS in the Apple Store has the ability to do 'testflight' builds/releases to select users for resolving issues. Amazon has something similar but it is so horribly complicated that we never tried it.
When we go enter google play for shield, it might or might not be the same apk. Depends on how much static vs dynamic device tuning we have to do.
Just to be clear, the only sideloading one can do is to build from source and then sideload. The only distribution method we can support is via the various App Stores. Providing a sideloaded APK download presents licensing accounting issues.

Thanks for the reply.
By "sideloading," I meant sideloading the amazon app store and installing from there.
The app store actually encourages sideloading its own app to non fire os devices. I have the app store installed on shield tv for some games I bought for OUYA and Fire TV.

Not sure that will work. MrMC/Amazon is specially targeted for the Fire Tablets and FireTV devices running FireOS.magister wrote:Thanks for the reply.
