Hi,
This might be the wrong place to post this... Sorry if that's the case.
Is mrmc able to bitstream dsf/dsd files to my AV receiver via HDMI? Kodi and Plex convert to PCM and modify e.g. sampling frequency so I'm trying to find a player that sends the native format.
Thanks in advance
/M
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. This page has some info plus samples you can download:
https://www.oppodigital.com/hra/dsd-by-davidelias.aspx
So for instance this one resembles the songs I'm listening to:
http://download.oppodigital.com/hra/dav ... 2.0%29.dsf
Thanks for looking into it!

I don't think there is a player that can bitstream dsf/dsd over HDMI. To do that would require hdmi support I doubt that dsf/dsd is in large enough usage to include it under the required HDMI audio specs.Depechefan wrote: 21 Sep 2019, 17:12 Hi,

So are you saying that whilst DSF is a supported and standardised HDMI audio format (like AAC is, apparently, in Japan) there isn't enough of a market to support it on the various SoCs + Operating Systems used in media players (Android TV + MrMC on Shield TV, tvOS + MrMC on Apple TV 4K etc.)?davilla wrote: 21 Sep 2019, 17:37I don't think there is a player that can bitstream dsf/dsd over HDMI. My Sony UBPX800 UHD Blu-ray player will output DSD content over HDMI, but my AVR (Denon AVR X2400H) will only accept it in the file domain from USB sticks or UPnP streaming, and not via HDMI, so it's a moot point for me.
