Siri Remote Disconnects during movie

I have two Apple TV 4 boxes and the same problem on both. After upgrading to tvOS 13 the siri remote disconnects during a movie if i do not use it for some time, i guess about one hour into a movie. This only happens when i am watching a movie in MrMC. Then the annoying nag screen pops up telling me that the remote is not connected. It does not happen in other apps when i do not touch the remote for some time and it never happened on tvOS 12. I was looking for a way to either extend this timeout or to just suppress these messages, that i don't care about anyway.
Anyone has the same problem or an idea?

I have noticed it too, its since TVOS 13. Doubt its MrMc. So you are not alone. I have no solution.

Samething happens to me in infuse, YouTube and disney plus. It’s a tvOS issue. Apps don’t have the ability to control connectivity between the AppleTV and the remote.

I would agree that this is something the OS should manage. However, for me this only happens in MrMC, not in Netflix nor Amazon Prime Video.

As a side note, with tvOS 13, i also have to force close MrMC sometimes, because it gets stuck when i press the Home button during playback. That also was introduced by the current tvOS, with 12 it just restarted automatically.

I'd rather blame tvOS than MrMC, but at the end of day the situation just sucks

It’s definitely not MrMC. I’ve seen this regardless of the app I’m using. The remote goes to sleep after a set time and then the notification pops up on the Apple TV.

It's tvOS disconnecting Siri remote, not MrMC. It happens with all apps and can be quite annoying
The behavior stated in tvOS 13.

For this reason I put Siri remote in the drawer for now and use my Harmony only. But this is also not ideal, because you cannot emulate the touch pad properly.
