I wonder if mrmc just passthrough the video/audio or if it tampers with it in any way?
Ive seen brightness / contrast settings also.
I want my files to play untouched.. Do they?
Thx
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Re: Video/audio passthrough?
No app on apple tv can passthrough audio. They all decode and output PCM.box4mm wrote: 10 Aug 2019, 12:45 I wonder if mrmc just passthrough the video/audio or if it tampers with it in any way?

If you want video as untouched as possible make sure that only AVFoundation is used as the decoder in settings>video>acceleration.

Right thx, i read about the audio passthrough when i think about it.cosmoxl wrote: 10 Aug 2019, 12:50 No app on apple tv can passthrough audio. They all decode and output PCM.

Question regarding something else, but you seem ontop of your game so ill try.
1)
Settings - system - video output
Use Limited colour range
I have this unchecked
2)
Settings - video - acceleration
Disable limited to full video scaling
I have this unchecked
According to my tv it receives limited even though i have the above settings.
Does the appletv tvos settings override mrmc in this case?
The most logical to me is to enable both setting 1) and 2) above to get limited but clearly...

Re: Video/audio passthrough?
If you're using only AVFoundation as decoder those options have no effect anyway is my understanding. So, it must be tvOS.box4mm wrote: 11 Aug 2019, 10:56Right thx, i read about the audio passthrough when i think about it.cosmoxl wrote: 10 Aug 2019, 12:50 No app on apple tv can passthrough audio.
