Update library not working

Hi. Movies show up under media sources but not in movies. Update library doesn't do anything (matter of fact the update info at to of the screen actually says "updating tv shows"). If i go to media sources and find the new movie and use scan for new content on that movie, it will then show up in movies. This is in Ariana.

Looks like there are a lot "directory does not exist" lines in there, including movies, collections, and some tv shows.
That seems strange because I can get to everything and play them just fine.

I don't have Emby linked to mrmc, but I just wanted to show that my test file (The Shawshank Redemption) is in the folder connected to mrmc.

Yes.
I've posted part of the log from a scan I performed on the media source (movies). You can see at the top it still says path to movies "does not exist", but then it goes on to go into that directory and scan all the movies. Even then, though, it doesn't pick up my new movie (test file). It's only after I go to Media Sources/Movies/Shawshank Redemption and scan for new content that it actually adds it to the library.

have you marked in source setting that movies are in separate folders that match movie title and to scan recursively?

Yes.
I removed the app and started over. Everything seems to be working fine now.
