Thanks for your prompt response.
Any thoughts on the out of sync hassle I am experiencing?
Any previous reasons as to why people got oos playback on MrMC that I can play around with?
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Re: Recommended Video and Audio Settings Guides for Shield/FireTV like we had with SPMC?
Some users have issues with a/v sync, some do not. Some say it is a constant offset, some say it various. But without debuglog / mediainfo on these files and detailed info on setup (to av receiver, to hdtv, or arc return, channels, passthrough, etc) it's very difficult to replicate the results.
Koying has been chomping at the bit, waiting for 3.6.0 to get released. I'm sure that these issues will get resolved in future versions of MrMC.

Debuglog: https://pastebin.com/kPFsiQQF
Media info Screenshot: http://www.mediafire.com/file/4zqrnbu3h ... 201x02.jpg
Sorry for the long debug file but I tried numerous audio delay settings before finally settling on +250ms again.
I have MrMC 3.5 installed on my 2017 Nvidia Shield. It is connected to my Yamaha RX-V373 via HDMI which in turn connects to my Panasonic TH-P50ST50A 50" TV. The audio plays via the attached Bose Speakers. The file (Godless 1x02) is situated on my Seagate Cloud Network drive and is connected directly from the Seagate to the Nvidia Shield via POI and cable.
The TV episode I played was Godless 1x02 as an HEVC 265 format file. I tend to obtain predominantly x265 format files as they are high quality but with smaller download size.
For this exercise I tried numerous audio delay settings before settling on +250ms. I have used the Audio Settings where possible on MrMC as described by Koying for SPMC.
I also have SPMC installed on the same Nvidia Shield device. I played the same file Godless 1x02 via SPMC after attempting it on MrMC. On SPMC the file played faultlessly in perfect audio sync.
MrMC support via this forum seems wonderful.

As davila says.
I'm actively busy with the groundwork to align mrmc with spmc (while keeping the god stuff which was already done here

Thanks for your reply Koying.
I just updated to MrMC 3.6 and I find the oos problem for me is still there. Again I have preset the default to +250ms.
Or I use my version of SPMC 17.6.
And there is no oos hassle for me with Kodi either.

could the sync problems depend on what video decoder is being used?

This work needs done anyway to convert the guide from SPMC. Which items could you not find?
https://github.com/koying/SPMC/wiki/Rec ... -1080p-GUI
SPMC Settings
Enable 'expert' in the settings menu. Then, make the following changes:
Videos > Playback
adjust display refresh rate = on start / stop
pause during refresh change = 3.0 seconds
sync playback to display = off
Videos > Acceleration
allow hardware acceleration - Mediacodec (Surface) = on
allow hardware acceleration - Mediacodec = on
accelerate MPEG2 = HD and up
accelerate MPEG4 = HD and up
accelerate h264 = HD and up
accelerate hevc = HD and up
System > Video Output
set GUI resolution limit = 1080
vertical blank sync = always enabled
OSD Video Settings
While playing a video, go to the OSD > Video Settings
deinterlace video = auto
deinterlace method (SD/software) = yadif (2x)
deinterlace method (HD/hardware accelerated) = bob inverted
Be sure to set these as the default for all media! Certain options, such as yadif, will not be visible unless you are watching a video using software decoding.

Do you mind going thru the audio one too?
https://github.com/koying/SPMC/wiki/Rec ... -Receivers
SPMC Settings
Enable 'expert' in the settings menu. Then, make the following changes:
Audio output device = IEC
Number of channels = 7.1 [your receiver should be able to handle this input regardless of your actual speaker configuration. This number will be disregarded for any codec that your receiver supports for passthrough]
Output configuration = Best Match
Stereo upmix = off
Maintain original volume on downmix = on
Boost centre channel when downmixing = 0 dB
Resample quality = High
Keep audio devices alive = 10 Minutes [this will prevent your AVR from going to sleep]
Enable audio DSP processing = off
Enable passthrough = on
Passthrough output device = IEC

Re: Recommended Video and Audio Settings Guides for Shield/FireTV like we had with SPMC?
I was unable to 'find' the following settings:
"accelerate MPEG2 = HD and up
accelerate MPEG4 = HD and up
accelerate h264 = HD and up
accelerate hevc = HD and up"
"deinterlace method (SD/software) = yadif (2x)
deinterlace method (HD/hardware accelerated) = bob inverted
Be sure to set these as the default for all media! Certain options, such as yadif, will not be visible unless you are watching a video using software decoding."
I was playing my original Godless 1x02 x265 file and I guess this is not a video using software decoding.
On the Audio side:
"Audio output device = IEC
Enable audio DSP processing = off
Passthrough output device = IEC" but instead I found a similar setting saying IEC packed.
Despite the adjustments it remains oos +250ms
When I originally set MrMC up using the "Koying" guidelines I had not adjusted
Videos> Acceleration,
System > Video Output
OSD Video Settings
I checked my SPMC app and then went back to MrMC. It would not start on my Shield: "MrMC Keeps Stopping, Close App" message came up several times. I had to restart the Shield and then was able to start MrMC.
"accelerate MPEG2 = HD and up
accelerate MPEG4 = HD and up
accelerate h264 = HD and up
accelerate hevc = HD and up"

Re: Recommended Video and Audio Settings Guides for Shield/FireTV like we had with SPMC?
This morning I uninstalled MrMC and then reinstalled it again. I think I have been playing around with the audio settings so much MrMC just decided it would frequently crash on opening on my Nvidia Shield.
Patience is something I am not so good about. But I will need to be patient and deal with my MrMC oos hassle as it comes. I trust in Koying and believe he will sort it. Koying's SPMC has always been my go to app for any Kodi type experience.
So hopefully a future MrMC update with Koying's input will solve the oos issue I have.
Everything works perfectly with SPMC but generally there is +250ms oos issue with MrMC.
