The implementation of the OK button is very cumbersome for TV recordings.
Before you had to just type and now you have to press. In addition, the recording is always set to pause when pressing.
If you press repeatedly, the recording jumps back to the beginning.
The fast-forward has become just as cumbersome.
Please restore the old function.

Pressing select instead of tapping is the preferred behavior. On tvOS, one taps/swipes to navigate, select to perform the operation.

Remote Handling (Siri and IR)

When playing video:

Left click:
  seek backward 10 seconds (default settings)

Left click hold down
  change to 4x rewind, resume 1X play on release

Right click
  seek forward 30 seconds (default settings)

Right click hold down
  change to 4x fastforward, resume 1X play on release

Up click
  big seek forward, next chapter or up channel (pvr)

Down click
  big seek backward, previous chapter or down channel (pvr)

Center Click -> pause playback -> bring up progress bar (with scrubber if possible)
  Siri Remote, swipe left/right:
     Moves progress bar backward/forwards
     Select click to jump and resume 1X play.
 
  Siri Remote, swipe down:
     Brings up OSD Settings for substitles/audio/video.
     Menu to back out.

  IR Remote, Select click left/right:
     Moves progress bar 10 seconds backward/forwards.
     Select click to jump and resume 1X play.

  IR Remote, Select click hold left/right:
     Moves progress bar 10 (30 after 1.5 seconds) backward/forwards.
     After release, Select click to jump to that position.

  IR Remote, Down click:
     Brings up OSD Settings for substitles/audio/video.
     Menu to back out.

  Menu -> resumes 1X playback

Now:
Click > swipe to scrub > click to resume = seems to skip to correct place and a resume point is set but the video briefly flashes and then drops back to the list of recordings.

The 4x FF on hold right is cool, is it configurable? Would be nice to be able to do 8x or 16x

4x FF/RW on hold right/left is not configurable right now, but could be. 2X is just too slow in my option. Just comparing what the native player does and trying to match that.

Just remembered that I still have HW acceleration switched off because of the issue I described here:

I tried it with the default HW acceleration options and its the same (and the interlace detection is still a problem too).

set it to deinerlace/half

I wonder if Tvheadend client got confused and closed the wrong file.
