Playing a 720p x264.mp4 file. Small but, irritating stuttering during playback on mrmc. Kodi playing the same file with no stuttering what so ever..
Smb sharing from a synology nas on a wired network. Bug in the mrmc or just to slow hardware on the Apple TV??

Which Kodi and what platform ? Sample of it that shows the stutter ?

Kodi 15.2 on a mac mini. Synology ds 412+, smb sharing, wired network. The file plays smooth!!
Tried to watch an episode (same file)on the apple tv with mrmc. The picture sometimes glitches/stuttering for a verry short moment. Enough to force me over to my 2009 mac mini running kodi.
How can i provide you with a sample of the issue??

Ok. Looks like the stuttering is better/gone after forcing the apple tv to run 1080p 50Hz, and not 60Hz. Running 60 Hz 1080 on my kodi setup with no issues.. Strange!

I played a MKV with 1080p and 7.1 DTS MA today. Decode to PCM okay, no stutter at all, but my biggest issue is seeking. Fast forward and rewind are awfull. It's between a slide show to unresponsiveness. On e.g. the Shield ATV it's much better.Premium wrote:Ok.
