With Krypton about to hit beta, just wondering when, or even whether, MrMC will bring the changes across?

Funny, I've been wonder the other thing, when changes in MrMC make it into Kodi :)

But seriously, we watch kodi commits, I see them all. Some we pull in, some not. We prefer stability rather than shiny and there have been some massive changes going on over there with resulting effects on stability. Specially for Android, aka Amazon devices.

Begs the question why they aren't there already...

Short answer is Kodi does not have an Android Maintainer since Koying left.

One must say that MrMC is going in a very specific direction, by removing addon support and adding the equivalent in Core, so cross-project merges will become more and more difficult as time goes by...

MrMC is already kind of hybrid, by backporting the audio system of Krypton, so even merges to SPMC (Jarvis-based) are difficult/irrelevant.

Player changes from v17 have also been backported to MrMC. So some areas might be closer to v17, others closer to v16. Still watching v17 player changes. I'm not entirely convinced of the direction player and renderer are going.

Good to see Krypton is getting a taste of your hard work.
