Pause/Play Keep Alive Audio not working

Hi,
the keep alive audio setting seems not to work. When i pause, i see that my avr is not receiving audio any more. This results in a lack of about 2 to 3 seconds of audio when resuming.
I'm running mrmc 3.9-9 on TVOS 14.0.2 on ATV4K.
In the menu the audio is always on! I set the setting to always on btw.
