So theres alot going on lately on the dolby vision front, is this anything we can hope for in mrmc on 2019 shield?

Ive seen theres a doctor sleep profile 4 .ts rolling around in these forums, so hopefully it will work soon enough?

I hope we have some support soon, realizing the MKV standard change is relatively new, but interest in playing Dolby Vision is also very high. One of the members of the Makemkv forum has supplied an APK URL for a version of Exoplayer that can be used by Kodi to play DV titles.

The really neat thing about this new standard is it retains the HDR layer so that you can play the media on televisions that don't support Dolby Vision.

yeah alot of exciting stuff happening, i just want mrmc to support more then profile5, if its .mp4 .ts or .mkv i personally dont really care about, but i have no idea if this is an ambition cause i havent read anything from devs

Plex for Android, 8.8, has been released and supports Dolby Vision in MKV format.

In all honesty i think this is the ´least active forum ive ever come across, so i doubt it

I expect we'll see it in Kodi before Mrmc. This is a shame.
