TV stream start needs more than 10 sec. ??

Hi all,
i'm using the TVheadend plugin to view TV streams from my TVheaded-server. The problem is that each start of a stream or a channel change needs more than 10 sec. If I'm using the iOS TVhead client than needs less than 2 seconds. How can I optimize that? Thanks

It looks like MrMC caches ~10 seconds of stream before it starts with the TV. I see also this circle in the middle of the screen with a number counting down. Log is 0Q92D

I have tested also my Nvidia Shield TV with the last Kodi - No problems.
I don't know is it the ATV or this SW or both. First the TV-Mosaic plugin with problems since month, and now TVHeadend plugin with problems.

we have fixed Mosaic issues, no?
did you play with buffer settings? if buffer is too high, it will not play until you filled it in

@Ted377, can you comment on the TVheadend zapping speed? and how you have your buffer setup.

I have switched from TV-Mosaic to Tvheadend, so I can no more check whether the updated client is working, sorry, but Tvheadend is much better. I believe the problem is ATV, I had in the past often problems with my LAN and WiFi connection between ATV and my Router. After switching to my old Nvidia Shield TV, no problems

. Do you have found anything in my log file?

no, I dont see anything strange in your log except that it does "buffer" for some time.
I know@Ted377 uses TVHeadend, lets see what he says

Short update, I believe I have found the problem. It seems the ATV has problems with DHCP, if I set an permanent IP in the ATV than 95% of the stops are gone. The remaining 5% of stops with the display in the middle (buffer clock) seem to be due to the app. MrMC doesn't seem to be able to continue to run if there are errors in the stream (DVB-C reception problems). Kodi under AndroidTV shows pixels shortly and then just keeps on running, and also with TVHeadend iOS and ATV clients no problems. Is it still possible to fix this in the 3.xx version without having to buy the 4.xx at some point?

If you have bought 3.9.* or before, you will not have to pay for 4.0.0... you have the lifetime subscription automatically. That was the point of the 4.0.0 TestFlight thread, to make sure all previous users are seamlessly transferred to 4.0.0
We can look into why it doesnโt continue playback, but the key to fixing it is being able to reproduce... if we see the issue we can fix it.
