No HDR

Hi all, i've been using MrMC for a while now without problem, however i moved my TV into a different room and i think some of the ATV settings have been reset somehow. Now when I play back a HDR video I dont get the HDR popup on my LG OLED tv. It works fine with Plex but not with MrMC for some reason, and I've also tried different HDR files and none seem to work (they all work in Plex). I've got the ATV set to SDR4k in the settings menu, and sync dynamic range and refresh turned on. Is there anything else I need to do to get this working in HDR? the video looks like it might be HDR (it looks greyed out when the sync isnt set). Any ideas?

MrMC needs to be set to automatically change refresh rate (settings>video>playback) and the AVFoundation decoder needs to be available for HDR (settings>video>acceleration)

Thanks for your reply, I did have the settings set as mentioned, however when you mentioned the AV Foundation plugin i thought maybe only that had to be enabled. so I unticked "Use VideoToolBox for 4K HEVC HDR Content" and now the HDR logo is appeared as expected, so I'll just confirm how I have Acceleration settings set is correct.
Render method: Auto Detect.
Disable limit to full video Rescaling: OFF
Allow hardware acceleration - VideoToolBox: ON
- Use VideoToolBox for 4K HEVC HDR content: OFF
Allow hardware acceleration - AVFoundation: ON
does that look correct?
Thanks!

Yes, that's correct. Those are the default settings actually. So, it looks like you might have made some wrong choices along the way.

I think someone might have broken into my house and changed my settings, its the only logical conclusion. Also, since turning off Toolbox u now get flashing pink blocks on the screen before a movies starts, is that expected behaviour?

I don't know what you're seeing but if the actual movie is fine I wouldn't be bothered.
