Disable Thumbnail Generation for Videos

Is it possible to disable thumbnail generation for video files? You can disable thumbnails for chapters and for actors but I don't see anywhere to disable thumbnail creation for the files themselves. If this isn't currently possible would it be possible to add this option? For me this is CPU cycles and storage space that can be saved.
