I think so? The problem is that I may have gone through and manually set everything right. I just looked at a lot of different show seasons and they are all in the proper episode order. The sorting method is "name" for everything. If I recall correctly it used to be "playlist" by default. So, is name the new default or is this just a change I made manually?

I agree. It did work fine under 12.3. I noticed this issue on day 1 of beta 1. Didn’t want to post here for the same reason, thinking that apple might have broken it as it has done in the past in tvOS 11 and in 12. After 3 betas, I was a little concerned. Thanks for the response. Let’s hope for the best and wait for subsequent betas for a fix.

just tried a German Dolby Vision "Scene" Release (https://pastebin.com/jW7MytHX)
Source is a Plex Server.
And just as Infuse and the original Plex (Beta) client, MrMC plays it as HDR10.
The native Plex client on my LG OLED Plays it as Dolby Vision
Maybe cause of the 2 Video Streams?


//edit: Also tried to play via Networkshare. - Same Result.
Also looked at other Dolby Vision Releases by this Crew. All were with 2 Video Steams.
Also found 1 release by some other Crew - also same Structure.

Yep, two video streams. The native Plex client on LG OLED is using the LG native player maybe ?

DVDFab is the only app that can merge the two video streams and MrMC is the one of very few Apps that can play this merged video stream. See this thread -> https://forum.mrmc.tv/viewtopic.php?f=1 ... &start=230

Ah, ok so i have to build a postprocess script.
Is there any chance it will work without the need to merge?

Maybe, DVDFab devs don't want to share the magic info but just knowing it can be done and play right reveals a lot. A few weeks of reverse engineering and presto On the list but not for 3.9.0.

Sorting by date added works for movies now but not for TV shows, I think. Also, multiple TV episodes added simultaneously still don't show up on the home screen.

This is something that will take a bit of a time to resolve, I’ll see if it can be done for 3.9.0.

In short, plex sends multiple episodes as a show that includes those episodes and we only handle individual episodes on the home screen.... not impossible but it will take some time and testing to get it done.

I’ll check with the rest of the team if this should go in 3.9.0, and possibly delay the release or should we get this version out and work on it for the next release.

Device Home Screen "Top shelf items" are not populated with Plex/Emby Client Service when Amber Skin is used .
Above works in 3.8.1.
