Haven’t tested it, I’ll do that in a bit.

Happens on the Apple TV 4 as well. I went to enter the IP for my MySQL server and it froze right after I clicked on it.

Also as far as video playback on the Apple TV 4K, the 200Mbps HEVC 10-bit 2160p Jellyfish file played perfectly. HDR videos playback washed out and not in HDR. You can test it out with this:

Might have a fix for that soon.

Do you have a 4K HDR TV with the AppleTV running in either "4K DV 60 Hz" or "4K HDR 60 Hz" mode ?

Does MrMc have direct access to the HDMI interface or is the tvOS video processing (e.g. to convert 23.976 Hz to 60 Hz), do YUV420 to YUV422 when needed etc. always in between ? So MrMC writes to some frame buffer maintained by the OS, then OS takes it from there ? Not fully clear to me how the synchronization is done, but I never bothered to read tvOS docs.

What I want to say is suppose you have HDR10 content, isn't there a way to signal to tvOS it's HDR video ? So tvOS does the colorspace conversion and the kind of tone mapping for you ?

The is no direct access to the HDMI interface under darwin. The APIs just don't work that way. I get mine tomorrow and can probe deeper after then.

New tvOS version going up in a few hours. This should fix the hang/crash when activating the native keyboard.
