It remains as individual episodes with thumbnails until a new series is added then bundles it to a season. So it seems newly added shows are the ones affected.

Been doing testing under different scenarios and it seems that if MrMC is running while adding the shows it will bundle into a season. But if it is closed while the season is added and then opened afterwards it will display as individual thumbnail episodes. Will need more testing to confirm if this happens all the time but may be a starting point.

It’s odd, I connected to your server after and it grouped it fine.

The blind fix might fix thumbs showing instead of posters, it will be in the next TestFlight... check it and let me know please.

ok, I have found what the issue is and why we are seeing different things.

there is a setting to allow "flattening" of seasons, settings -> Video -> Library... mine is set to never, yours must be something else... try if that fixes is for you and I have fixed it for the next TF.

That’s it! Mine was set to Always. If only one season does it, too.

I’ll keep looking around, as I don’t see the year when listing the seasons in plex webui either... plex api documentation is crap to say the least.
The incorrect season year is no longer showing below the season list so that's much better. But to the left under the description, the year which the series first aired is still showing as the same season year for all seasons.

Didn't want to create a whole new topic on this since it's related to what we've been fixing but when there is only one season of a TV Show, the number of episodes is not shown on the season screen. However when there are multiple seasons, the number of episodes displays correctly as shown in this picture from my last post for The Simpsons: https://forum.mrmc.tv/viewtopic.php?p=28172#p28172

Single season (number of episodes does not show):

Again didn't want to start a new topic since this is very minor so hope it's ok posting it in here. In the fanart season section for TV Shows, there is a / at the end which doesn't seem to serve a purpose (22 episodes) /
