Re: [Request] Emby plugin
Great news. I just started using emby to access LiveTV via an older HDHomerun that does not support upnp. I helped write the support for this and it just got merged into development so hopefully will be available soon to all. Not sure if LiveTV support is planned but that would be great for me.

Re: [Request] Emby plugin
Live tv is already supported via add-ons for many backends, including hdhomerun. That is already part of the app, separate from any emby service that is eventually added.KeyserSoze wrote:Great news. Non-Upnp HDHomeruns are not supported via LiveTV unless I'm missing something. Only the newer models have support unless something changed recently. If they are supported I would love to know how to add them. I believe you may have the .strm support which uses the hdhomerun:// urls. I would like to have LiveTV support with guide etc. Is that possible with MrMC?

sorry, I don't use hdhomerun so I don't know the details. I just see the add-on and figured that's what Amet was talking about in his previous post.KeyserSoze wrote:Non-Upnp HDHomeruns are not supported via LiveTV unless I'm missing something. We support older hdhomerun devices by adding a source, not via pvr addon.

Re: [Request] Emby plugin
Thanks. Yeah I'm pretty sure this is the .strm file support. While it will work it's not as nice as having a guide etc. The support in Emby uses the native tcp language these older tuners use. That's why I was requesting Emby LiveTV support if possible.amet wrote:We support older hdhomerun devices by adding a source, not via pvr addon.

hdhomerun via Emby Server (aka LiveTV). Yea, saw that when I setup my test Emby Server.
