I suggest to autohide them with a timer. To be consistent with the movie-OSD, with the same timer-length.

It’s tricky with the new infobar... it times out after set time regardless of how many channel changes you make. Will see if we can make some core changes for that but it might be tricky.

I would leave the auto hide timer as it was.

I also found the problem for the time setting: the timer could not be changed via TV but via Appearance.
That's why I couldn't change the auto hide time.
Normally auto hide under tv would be responsible for this.

It’s the timer under appearance, the one under tv is for switching channels with the list.

I might remove that one and use the appearance setting.

As for the info bar timer, I have pushed the change to auto hide it. I suggest you guys decide how you want it and let me know, no more additional settings please :)

With auto hide, you can set it to “never” in appearance setting and get the same result...

There should also be no change in this regard. If you want to have it permanently displayed, you can finally set it to “auto hide never”.

And I think your suggestion is very good to take the attitude out of TV. :D

yes, but the current testflight has it always set to "never" regardless of the setting... with the latest change(it should be in the next testflight) you can choose the time or never... I think thats best, check it once its out and let me know please.

Perfect. :)
So everyone can set it up for themselves.

Thanks for adding this :D

...but an unforeseen effect, of how this is implemented now, that I can't use multiple skipsteps BW or FW during live TV.

Skip FW/BW seems not to be possible when Info Bar is up, correct ?
Is it possible to add this when Info Bar is up ?
