Can anybody explain why I need trailers for movies that I own?

I agree, and I'm even a big proponent of more meta features. Just not trailers. At our house we can spend some time browsing for what movie to watch. What we really like (from Plex) is the Rotten Tomatoes reviews. I'd love to find a way to work those in. I also hope to see actor headshots (which I think we used to have) and tv theme songs.

It's a popular request, even though it might not just be your request.

Plex has trailers and MrMC has trailer, it was not hooked in before and now it is... if you wanted trailers they are now included, if you didn’t want them just simply don’t use them... trailers are only visible in movie information page, it’s hardly in anyone’s way.

Bring up movie information page, select movie -> long hold select -> movie information

Actor headshots are there, Opacity doesn’t have them displayed but Amber and original MrMC skin(Confluence) does

No, you shouldn't feel that way at all. When I ask a question like that I'm hoping for an answer from people who've requested it. That's partially out of respect for your time and partially just to satisfy my own curiosity.

Please see my question as more trying to defend you, not complain.

My wife wants to see trailers when deciding what to watch, and so do friends coming over for a movie night.. actually so do I, as I don’t “research” every movie I download..

In fact, I’d love a feature that would play only trailers for all the movies in my library!

I do agree about the rotten tomatoes reviews btw, they are the best!

Hehehe, no harm done... I don’t use trailers either, but seemed needed as we have a playback functionality and plex has the link.

Can you push an iOS update? I'd like to test the trailers, but I'm AFK a few states away (woo-hoo Plex service).
