Finding recently that a lot of HEVC/x265 encoded files that I get down from Usenet are not playing on MrMC.
They still work fine in VLC on the PC and I can recode them in Handbrake to a playable x264 file just fine.
Here's details of an example using the Mediainfo utility.

Pastebin taken from my Shield TV:
https://pastebin.com/UWaAFM5H
However, I also have a FireTV and I noticed that it has just taken an update of MrMC and the exact same file plays on it ..... (previously, it was also failing to play).

It's not a problem playing (decoder), it a file access problem.

Re: Increasing number of HEVC/x265 files not playing.
D'oh! Yes, checked the underlying permissions on my native Linux filesystem on the server and owners/permissions were different, hence the differing results when trying to play back, and also why versions of MrMC on the FireTV and Sheild were having different results (one was NFS mount, the other SMB under a guest user).
I'd been copying stuff into a temporary filesystem in order to quickly view it after downloading and hadn't been changing the perms.
Many thanks.
